Office Visits
Our greatest goal is to provide the highest quality of orthodontic care available and give you a healthy, straight, and beautiful smile you can be proud to show off, while enjoying your journey with us along the way. We understand that choosing to receive orthodontic care is a big decision and an investment.
Dr. Talbot and our staff will work with you every step of the way to make sure that your orthodontic care is as rewarding as possible. Our practice utilizes the latest technology, and offers a variety of safe, gentle, and efficient treatment options to give you the customized, individual care you deserve. We want you to feel comfortable and at home in our office.
Every smile starts with an initial consultation!
Your initial consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete initial exam, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs. During your initial consultation, we will:
- Review your dental and medical history forms
- Perform a complete oral exam, with X-rays, to determine whether treatment is necessary
- Work with you to decide on a customized treatment plan
- Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans

What happens after the initial consultation?
You’re one step closer to achieving the smile you’ve always wanted! After your consultation, we will schedule your first appointment when Dr. Talbot will place your braces or deliver your aligners. Placing braces generally takes about an hour, and to help keep you comfortable, you will be able to watch a movie on the TV in the ceiling while getting your braces on.
Scheduling Appointments
Appointment intervals will be approximately four to eight weeks. It’s essential to maintain regular visits to keep your treatment on track. When scheduling appointments, please let us know which days and times work best for you, and we will do our best to make your appointments convenient for your schedule. We pride ourselves on running on time, so our wait times to be seen are very short.
We understand that “life happens”! If you’re running late or need to reschedule, please let us know and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. When you’re ready to schedule your first appointment, contact our practice and our friendly scheduling coordinator will assist you. We’re looking forward to working with you.
Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment
It is vital that you continue your regular general dentist visits every six months for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups, even during your orthodontic treatment. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure you receive the best possible care.
